My Approach to Helping
Currently accepting clients.... You are here which means you are ready to make positive changes in your life and I would like to help you make that a reality. I see rapid improvement with most clients who regularly share their surprise in how much easier it was than they had thought. In 22 years as a therapist, I have developed a high level of competence in most areas related to mental health. I am comfortable working with a wide range of individuals of all ages and backgrounds dealing with most everything that life can toss at you. Through our work together I will help you have a better outlook on life, improved mood, and future possibilities.
Clients tell me that I offer an atmosphere of calmness, nonjudgement, and encouragement that makes it very easy for them to talk with me. I have also been told that I offer an experience of being “real” and that this makes therapy with me enjoyable and fun.
I understand that each person who comes through my door is unique. For this reason, it is important for me to tailor therapy to your specific preferences while relying on various therapeutic models including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and Adaptive Reorientation Therapy.
