My Approach to Helping
Our past relationships can leave us wounded. The story that we tell ourselves may be riddled with negative thoughts, shame, and low self-worth. As these feelings manifest, we become anxious and depressed. Therapy can help us discover new perspectives that shape a new narrative, one where we have different ways to manage our emotions and lead a more enjoyable life.
I provide a calming, open, and non-judgmental space for us to be curious as we explore your thoughts and feelings. We might look at dreams and body language to access parts of yourself that you have lost touch with or haven’t yet become aware of. I see my role as one to explore reflect the whole self and remind or connect you of your own inner truth.
I use theoretical orientations such as Jungian depth psychotherapy, modern psychoanalytic interventions, and somatic approaches to understanding my clients and help them connect to different unconscious fragments of themselves. However, the real value in therapy is the nurturing and developing a trusting relationship and the corrective experience that it can offer.
