My Approach to Helping
I have worked with people of all ages and have effectively helped clients find relief from issues such as depression, sexual concerns, anxiety, PTSD, and communication difficulties. As a relational therapist, I work with all types of couples, triads, quads, and relationships, including those with ENM (Ethical Non-Monogamy) or 'alternative' relationship practices. I also have a great deal of experience working with adolescents suffering from trauma, and often, I find it helpful to involve other family members to assist in providing support for one another. I completed my PhD in Community Psychology and Master's in Couples and Family Therapy. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including contextual family therapy, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed visualization, and EMDR, but overall, I create a unique treatment plan to incorporate what works best for my client. My goal is to help clients create strategies and life skills to reduce difficulties in their lives that are causing them to feel overwhelmed. I want to instill hope in clients that things can get better, and it all starts with reaching out for help. You don’t have to do this alone!
