My Approach to Helping
People suffer. And although pain is an unavoidable truth, healing and growth are always possible. Pain must be acknowledged before it can be dealt with and my goal as a therapist is to be with you, offering support and guidance, as we explore your difficulties together. These difficulties may manifest as sadness, fear, worry, anger, frustration, indecisiveness, relational conflict, numbness, or any other number of "symptoms." As we examine the challenges you face, we'll be looking for solutions along the way, building new perspectives and deeper understandings, and developing new skills and tools so that you are able to experience yourself, others and the world in a more flexible and expanded way. Therapy can be an intense experience but I will make every effort to connect with you in a way that creates a sense of safety and trust so that you can more effectively work toward your goals and become the "you" you want to be.
