My Approach to Helping
Hello, my name is Tina Curran-Taylor, LPC. My favorite areas of practice include trauma, addictions, depression and anxiety including all the nuanced behaviors that can present within these categories.
Many people have the misconception that you must dig relentlessly into the past to release the pain or the limiting beliefs and though the past informs our current approach to life, we only want to explore as much as it takes to release the chains. With the advancement in therapeutic approaches including Emotional Freedom Techniques, Energy Psychology approaches and Internal Family Systems, we can compassionately address the pain you carry without rehashing it over and over again.
My primary therapeutic approaches included Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping); Energy Psychology Techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Techniques, Internal Family System strategies, reflective listening, humor, mindfulness strategies, and writing prompts.
I also will often send YouTube videos, book and website recommendations that you can access between sessions.
