My Approach to Helping
Tommy Davis, Ph.D., is a licensed Psychologist with over 20 years of experience. He has worked with diverse populations, focusing most recently on young adult and adult populations and individuals with military backgrounds. Dr. Davis has extensive experience treating adolescents, families, and couples. Treatment focuses on applying evidence-based therapies and consists of integrative approaches that incorporate CBT and interpersonal and psychodynamic therapies. Dr. Davis specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and trauma. He presents a very interactive style that strives to promote the client's autonomy and build on their strengths and resilience. Dr. Davis received his Ph.D. from the City University of New York, completing an internship at the renowned NYU Bellevue Hospital. He has directed programs, researched, published on clinical issues, taught trained clinicians, and conducted many workshops and speeches on psychosocial concerns. Dr. Davis has often been sought to provide treatment sensitive to faith-based topics.
