My Approach to Helping
My name is Ty, and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor working under the supervision of Courtney Tiller, LCSW and Cassidi Beckstein, LPC. My therapeutic style is characterized by warmth, authenticity, and respect for each individual’s unique journey. I aim to create a safe and non-judgmental space through the use of a multicultural and cognitive behavioral lens, where clients can process their emotions and thoughts. I am a firm believer that no one should have to struggle alone. I am here to walk alongside you, offering support, empathy, and a safe space for you to explore, heal, and grow.
My journey in the field has been shaped by a commitment to providing empathetic and evidence-based support. I draw upon a comprehensive set of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I operate from a trauma-informed perspective and have experience working with neurodiversity, trauma, and dissociation.
I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Northern Arizona University, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and emotions. During my undergrad, I worked to provide suicide education and prevention (a deep passion of mine) through co-presenting at the Southwestern School for Behavioral Health Studies conference.
