My Approach to Helping
Have you been wondering how to take care of yourself while trying to take care of everyone else around you? Or trying to determine how to get help for your loved ones, like your child, partner, or family? I can help you sort through the chaos and identify ways to get support, set boundaries, communicate better, and move forward. My approach is individualized to your specific needs and integrates play therapy, cognitive-behavioral exercises, solution-focused approaches, skills-building, and trauma-focused techniques. I have worked in outpatient therapy, residential mood and substance abuse treatment, family therapy, integrated primary care, and the crisis hotline. No matter where you are in life, we can find a way to build a relationship where you feel supported in talking about your needs and wants and find ways to build on your strengths to achieve your goals. I will provide a safe, affirming, inclusive, and healing space where you can focus on healing. Going to therapy may seem challenging or scary at times, but our goal will be to help you find what you need to grow, survive, and hopefully thrive.
