My Approach to Helping

I provide online sessions as well as in-person; and see individuals, couples, parents and children.
Especially at this current time of uncertainty, connecting online is more important than ever - I'm here to listen even if you just need to talk. Together, let's look at how to best move forward and reach at a place which will provide relief as well as answers.

I do talk therapy, in which I use creative work in my sessions; including metaphor - focused counselling as part of MetaCognitive Therapy - which is a branch of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Currently I supervise graduate-level therapists-to-be alongside my practice, and I provide online counselling for those who are unable to see me in person, for those with medical health geographical issues. I serve as a panel consultant in Teleme.co to provide online consultation as well.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

I find at the very least, talking helps. It helps to verbalize the cloudy, foggy chaos creating turbulence in our minds so that when the words are out, it can be structured into a more controllable, structured item to handle. And thus, no longer creating so much chaos internally. At the very least.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I find that the more I acknowledge my humanity, my flaws become learning points and then I can look at change - for the better. This lens of compassion and kindness to myself in its humility has taught me that clients struggle with their own humanity; and often it is this very basic acknowledgment of vulnerability which ironically where strength is born.
