My Approach to Helping
Do you have a loved one who:
* Makes you feel guilty?
*Tries to control you?
*Monopolizes conversations?
*Seems uninterested in your life?
*Causes you to question your own judgement andor memories?
*Is clingy or demanding of your time?
*Is overly sensitive to criticism?
*Talks about suicide or self-harm?
*Becomes hurt when you disagree with them?
*Acts impulsively or becomes enraged?
*Criticizes you, makes cruel jokes, or otherwise puts you down?
*Love bombs you?
*Abuses substances?
These relationships can feel chaotic, confusing, and at times, scary. They can drain your energy and challenge your view of yourself. Sometimes we develop anxiety or unhealthy ways of coping in response to these stressful relationships.
My clients are often struggling with a difficult relationship and many times they grew up with a difficult parent. I have extensive experience in working with people like your loved one. I’d love to share my insights and empower you with knowledge and skills so that this challenge does not negatively affect other parts of your life. You probably feel like you are walking on eggshells. Your well-being matters to so many others and getting help may be the most loving action you take today.
