My Approach to Helping
With over 25 years of working with individuals and couples, I have a wide range of experience with issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship conflicts, illness, parenting, loss and bereavement, and aging. My focus is on the development of your personal strengths, emotional and relational intelligence, and resilience.
Based on the trust and respect we build together, our work will focus on ways to make your life more satisfying and productive I have a great deal of experience with family, healthcare, bereavement, and relationship issues and can use a range of evidence-based practices to guide you to change the patterns of behavior that cause you stress and keep you from realizing your goals.
We can focus on a wide range of issues that are keeping you stuck in feeling stressed, anxious, angry, depressed, and less satisfied with your personal and work relationships. I look forward to working with you if you want to increase your coping skills and go beyond symptom relief to more satisfying and improved personal and work relationships.

With compassion and caring, I build on our connection to enhance your ability to cope, deal with stress, disappointment, anger, and grief, and improve your personal and work relationships.
I love doing this work that builds on making connections, deepens our understanding of human behavior, and improves our ability to have loving relationships. I have experience and training in education and have worked with young children and adults in a variety of different settings. I am a certified teacher and a licensed therapist, with a doctorate in adult learning.
You determine your own goals based on who you are, where you have been, what you wish to do and who you wish to become. With my vast experience working in close therapeutic partnerships, I can help you to express what you want to achieve in our work together.
Before we do anything, we will establish a good working partnership that acknowledges what brought you to this point and what your expectations are for therapy. In our first session, we will get to a shared understanding of how you see the problem and how we will work together to reduce your stress and improve your life.
