My Approach to Helping

Feeling overwhelmed by life’s many demands? Many of my clients manage complex relationships and responsibilities and want to do more than "just talk about it." If you're tired of feeling anxious, want to learn self-regulation, or need help with communication, you're in the right place.

More Info About My Practice

As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over two decades of experience, I am dedicated to helping individuals unlock their inherent strength and resilience. I hold a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Arizona and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Arizona State University. My journey began at The Meadows, a leading inpatient treatment facility, where I specialized in trauma resolution related to substance abuse, love addiction, sexual compulsivity, and codependency.

My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in Somatic Experiencing®, a body-oriented method that facilitates the healing of trauma and stress disorders. This approach allows us to explore where you may feel “stuck” in your fight, flight, or freeze responses, guiding you through these self-protective mechanisms toward a more resilient self.

In addition to Somatic Experiencing®, I am a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator-Consultant. This experiential methodology, based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, invites exploration of vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. Together, we’ll examine the thoughts and behaviors holding you back, cultivating shame resilience and practices that foster authentic and wholehearted living.

I have also completed Level I of Dr. Stan Tatkin’s PACT training, integrating elements of attachment theory, neuroscience, and arousal regulation to support secure functioning in your primary relationships. Furthermore, I have trained in Dynamic Attachment Re-patterning experience (DARe) under Dr. Diane Poole Heller, which focuses on enhancing emotional intimacy and processing early attachment wounds.

I believe that we are all hardwired for healing and growth. If you're ready to embark on this journey toward deeper connection and emotional well-being, I invite you to reach out. Let’s work together to transform your life.

I work with individuals in person and over zoom. My office is centrally located and I offer weekend and evening appointments. Chances are, if it works with your schedule it will work with mine.
