My Approach to Helping
Life can be extremely difficult to navigate at times, especially when going through major life transitions. These things can greatly impact our well-being, especially if we do not have the proper tools to work through them. It can seem impossible to deal with these life stressors and escape from the overwhelming feelings that accompany them. I can help guide your mental health journey, and together we can learn how to manage the challenges life throws at you. In 2011, I graduated from Arizona State University with a Master's Degree in Social Work. Now, as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), I have been working in the mental health profession for 10 years. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, and difficulty adjusting to life-altering events. During my career, I have worked in multiple hospital settings performing medical case management as well as in dialysis companies, with transplant patients, and in home health. The intersection of medical and mental health is where I thrive, and working with the geriatric population has always been my first love. Additionally, I have spent a number of years working with individuals, both inpatient and outpatient, who were experiencing mental health crises. I focus on adults, using cognitive behavioral therapy to help my clients think about the issues they’re facing from a different lens. By changing the way you think, you can feel empowered to enact great change in your life. I am committed to developing a trusting relationship in which you feel heard. Together, we can break down the seemingly insurmountable barriers you feel in your life.
