My Approach to Helping
As a Marriage and Family therapist I consider your whole experience, inter-personally and within the context of the relationships in your life (family-of-origin, romantic and marital relationships, friendships, children, etc.). I also consider the mind-body-spirit connection and offer several avenues to expand your awareness. My style is collaborative and conversational and I expect to work together with you to co-create therapy goals and to develop more consciousness about how you have lived thus far and how you wish to transform your life. I look forward to working together and would be honored to be invited on your journey towards healing and living the life that you want and deserve!
More Info About My Practice
I developed Sol Flower Wellness to expand my counseling practice and offer a more integrative and holistic approach to therapy.
Hypnotherapy is an alternative to traditional talk therapy that allows you to go deeper by bypassing conscious blocks to uncover and release emotions and experiences that get in the way of your health and happiness. It can be difficult at times to identify the source of your issues, and hypnotherapy allows us access to unconscious material and makes your life and relationship patterns much more clear. This is a completely optional service that I provide and I am happy to discuss any questions with you about the process and explore if this may be helpful for you to break through patterns that are keeping you stuck.
Yoga and meditation may be incorporated into your therapy experience through online audio and video resources. These are great tools to manage stress and develop an effective self-care practice. Visit my website to access a plethora of tools and resources to help you along your journey!

My Role as a Therapist
My role as a therapist is one of guide, facilitator, co-creator, collaborator, consultant, referral source, educator, and as someone who may recommend books and exercises to assist your therapy process. I play many roles, but all roles serve to guide you toward healing, empowerment, consciousness, and growth. I do not see myself as an expert or one who deals advice. We will work together to identify what serves you and release what does not. You will teach me as much as I will teach you! I enjoying learning every day. I do have specific training in the area of Marriage and Family Therapy and I use that knowledge to help guide you, through gentle questions and inquiries, to come to understand yourself and your experience more clearly. However, each of you is in charge of how often you come to therapy, what we work on, who attends the sessions, and when therapy ends.
