My Approach to Helping
Hey! I am so glad you are here. My name is Whitney (but you can call me Whit), and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been practicing for over a decade.
Throughout my years of practice I have worked with families, children, teens and adults. I specialize in anxiety, depression, PTSD, self-esteem, peer relationships, major life transitions and coping skills.
I pride myself on my eclectic style of counseling as I believe each client is unique and deserves an individualized approach to their case (one size does not fit all). In my practice I utilize CBT and TFCBT, breath work, body movement and guided meditation to create a unique therapeutic experience and help my clients achieve their goals. My client centered approach aims at connecting clients to their unique strengths while helping them discover the best versions of themselves. My main objective is to enable people to live fuller, happier and more satisfying lives.
I am dedicated to working with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Maintaining a safe and judgment free environment for my clients is paramount. I believe that the relationship between the client and the therapist is important and that this relationship, if built on trust and respect, can be the vehicle for long lasting change and wellness
