My Approach to Helping
Change is uncertain and stressful as it is. Our bodies and emotions may respond in a way that is overwhelming and confusing. I can imagine how daunting, isolating, and stuck one may feel. I hope to help you understand what your emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and body are trying to communicate to you. You can learn more adaptive ways to understand and cope with your circumstances. With practice, it is relieving to reclaim your bandwidth and time to rest and pursue meaningful goals. In addition to private practice, I am an Adjunct Clinical Faculty at the Stanford School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
I specialize in treating anxiety and mood disorders. I pay special attention to creating a trusting and safe environment to help my clients build insights and skills to learn new ways to manage emotional distress and gain acceptance. My hope is that you will be empowered to address your concerns head-on.
