My Approach to Helping
Sometimes we feel stuck. Many problems start small but get worse, and you may ask, "How did I get here?" Maybe you feel lost in that dark place and don't know how to get out. As your therapist, I strive to be the flashlight that can guide you out. It takes courage to ask for help, and doing so demonstrates being ready to find your way back- or perhaps a new, better place! I meet my clients where they are with their problems, and with understanding, non-judgment, and collaboration. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and or life transitions- you deserve to find peace, and I am happy to help you meet your full potential and reach achievable goals.
As a therapist, I feel it's important to develop a clear understanding of my client's lived experience. From there, I provide emotionally-focused techniques and cognitive behavioral therapy, tailored to your individual needs. Additionally, I encourage the use of mindfulness meditation and techniques to better regulate thoughts and feelings. Above all, my approach and pace are based on your comfort level.
Reaching out and being open can feel uncomfortable for some. Please know that you control what we talk about, and I'm glad to answer any questions you have about my therapeutic process. Having a professional who understands your experience from your viewpoint is crucial for growing and healing. I believe you have what it takes to better your situation, and I am honored to be a part of that.
