My Approach to Helping
Hi there! My name is Winter and I am a licensed therapist with a focus on assisting people with anxiety, grief, depression and adjusting to life transitions. I also have extensive continuing education in women's maternal health. Women can face a range of mental health challenges, including postpartum depression, anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, feeling a loss of sense of self, and struggles with body image. Therapy can provide a safe space to explore challenges, develop strategies for managing symptoms, and work towards a renewed sense of self.
During life's challenging transitions, I can offer clients support with adjusting to new roles, coping with relationship stress, and working towards goals such as stabilizing mood, improving sleep, reducing anxiety, building coping skills, enhancing self-care, and fostering healthier relationships with themselves and their families.
I believe that we all have innate strengths within us that can be harnessed to effectively manage our day-to-day struggles. I also believe people are the experts of their own lives and therapy serves as a vehicle of self-exploration, while also teaching skills to broaden self-confidence, set healthy boundaries, and strengthen relationships.
