My Approach to Helping

You’re not broken. The ways you’ve learned to cope made sense at the time, but they may not be serving you anymore. Change is possible, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Welcome, I’m Wynne Melland. I know that when life feels overwhelming or you’re caught in old, unhelpful patterns, it can be hard to see a way forward. I’m here to walk beside you as you explore your feelings, break free from habits that no longer serve you, and build lasting emotional resilience. I create a warm, safe space where you can uncover the roots of your challenges, whether that’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship struggles, without judgment. My approach is about meeting you exactly where you are and working together to find practical, meaningful ways to move forward.

As a therapist, I take a warm, collaborative, and practical approach. We’ll work together to uncover the deeper patterns driving your struggles, develop tools for emotional regulation, and help you shift unhelpful beliefs to better serve you. My style blends mindfulness, CBT, and Internal Family Systems techniques with a holistic perspective, meeting you where you are and helping you create real, lasting change. I also integrate EMDR therapy to help process past trauma and rewire unhelpful patterns, allowing you to move forward with greater clarity and resilience.

Therapy with me isn’t about just talking; it’s about transforming the way you relate to yourself and the world around you. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, perfectionism, past wounds, or big life changes, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you. You don’t have to stay stuck, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

It's completely normal to feel uncertain about taking that first step into therapy. You might be wondering if it's really the right move, or if you'll feel comfortable enough to open up. Therapy isn't about fixing something that's broken. It's about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your feelings, learn more about yourself, and develop tools to handle life's challenges with more resilience. Think of it as a collaborative journey that you control at your own pace. Even if you're just curious or only partially ready, taking that first step to learn more can lead to a meaningful transformation in your life.
