My Approach to Helping
If you’ve experienced a recent traumatic event, I am here to help. If you feel like you need help with a relationship issue, anxiety, depression or panic, I can provide support. I see my role as one of a traveling companion who can collaborate with you, problem solve or just listen.
I work well with late adolescents (16+) and young adults. I also enjoy couples therapy and working with issues related to sexual health.
I might use a multitude of tools depending on your needs. Each person is unique. That being said, I tend to lean on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), EMDR, CBT, and DBT. I like to tie all of these together with a focus on the here and now of what is happening at any given moment in the session.
