My Approach to Helping

It is my belief that the core of therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. As such it is my goal to foster this trust and use it to make a safe enough space to grow and challenge our assumptions. In this space we can engage with issues of anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, queer issues, gender, identity explorations, and interpersonal dynamics.

I have a master’s in Drama Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University and have continued to seek independent opportunities to study and grow my skills in a variety of different approaches to therapy. I use different interventions based on my clients needs. These include Drama therapy, Developmental transformation, Cognitive-behavioral therapies, humanistic therapy, and internal family systems. I ask, “what are the repeating patterns in our behavior, relationships, beliefs and emotions?” From there it is my hope to help untangle which of these patterns serve us, and which need to transform into something new. It is my hope that together we can help build a better and more authentic life.
