Farmington is the government seat of Davis County, Utah. It has a land area of 10 square miles. Farmington is located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. The city was incorporated in 1892.

Farmington has a population of 24,000 people. The population increased by 32% from 2010 to 2017. An estimated 99% of people in Farmington are United States citizens. Roughly 900 military veterans live in the city.
