Chrysalis Therapeutic Boarding School provides a nurturing environment with the support of a residential treatment center. Our Montana lakeside campus offers a peaceful setting for girls and LGBTQ+ youth ages 13-18. With a focus on family involvement, we help teen girls build confidence.

About Our Center

What We Offer: Our therapeutic boarding school offers family-style residential treatment where students live in houses rather than dorms, and meals are family-style around the table. Roommates provide a cozy setting for friendships and growth to take place. Girls work together to decorate and customize their rooms. Teen and adolescent girls can continue to learn through our teacher-led classes in our full high school facility right on campus. Our certified teachers can create a custom Chrysalis academic plan for each student. School is year-round, allowing students to stay on track academically. Teen and adolescent girls in our program are guaranteed one international trip (at no extra cost!). Exposure to other cultures and services is a vital part of our modality. We even invite a family member to join, as appropriate and possible. Our Therapists and Treatment: Our masters-level therapists bring expertise that allows students to heal from trauma, develop healthy relationships, and create positive, sustaining habits. The Chrysalis clinical approach is to build connection, resilience, and strength. The whole family is a part of the integrated therapeutic work, and is invited to attend in-person workshops, as well as to join on our adventures! Our location is intentional and allows students to recreate year-round in this beautiful landscape. Our adventure therapy brings new activities each season! Whether we are hiking, biking, skiing, or rock climbing, these activities go beyond recreation and organically create space for therapeutic growth. We also help teen and adolescent girls heal through dialectic behavior therapy (DBT), art therapy, and equine therapy. We’ll find a customized treatment experience that will help your teen or adolescent daughter create a life filled with joy.
