My Approach to Helping

Are you unsatisfied or in emotional pain from a life transition, sudden unexpected loss or barriers to life goals, relationship problems, andor just feeling stuck and unfulfilled? By exploring your past experiences and examining present issues with you, we can determine better thinking, behavioral, and relationship patterns that would enhance your potential and then you can decide which of my counseling strategies and possible skills that fit you best. My role is to help you resolve your life issues so you can sustain a more satisfied, happier life. I offer motivation enhancement techniques (MET), cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT), solution-focused methods, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and relaxation exercises, and talk therapy to aid in the reduction of symptoms associated with trauma, grief, anger, anxiety, and depression.

I am a dedicated professional helping people overcome hardship (grief, sadness, and fear), and improving their lives through goal achievement and behavioral change. I am passionate about client care and developing a therapeutic rapport. I provide unconditional acceptance in a friendly environment that allows the examination of choices in making life decisions. I counsel adults of all ages, genders, and cultures as well as couples. I offer flexible appointment times and I am available to meet in person or online via user-friendly doxy.me. I accept insurance from Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Connecticare, United Health Care, and Optum, but also offer a self-pay fee of $100.00 for weekly 53–60-minute counseling sessions. You may click the link to call me to schedule a free 15–20-minute initial consult. My hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 12 noon to 8 pm and Friday 9 am to 5 pm. Saturdays are by appt only and closed on Sundays.
