My Approach to Helping
Existence is stressful. Despite all the good there is, being a human is often a lonely and confusing experience. And yet, part of you senses there is joy and connection to be had — so how do you access it?
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade as an organic farmer; without knowing why, I sensed that I needed to do work that was close to the ground, to be near things that felt fundamental and foundational to life. I view therapy in much the same way: as a space to work with what is deep and foundational in you.
I seek to welcome you as a whole person, not just a list of symptoms. I work with a deep sense of curiosity about you, your experience, and the full human being that you are. My goal is not to provide you with all the answers — instead, let's embark on a relational journey together, inviting us both to explore what we know about ourselves and the world.
I believe that therapy, at its best, provides a person with permission to show up as their real, messy, honest self. Our work together can provide you with the room and the space to find yourself, and also to BE yourself — and to be deeply and meaningfully supported while you do that work. You are not alone on this journey.
