My Approach to Helping
Trauma and other difficult experiences can impact the way we view our relationships, the world, and ourselves. I support clients in processing traumatic experiences, identifying triggers, and reclaiming their sense of safety and joy. I work with adults, couples, and families of all kinds. I welcome and affirm non-traditional family structures (donor, adoption, foster, blended families), members of LGBTQ+ community, neurodivergent individuals, and people who have had negative experiences with therapy in the past.
I use somatic therapy with an emphasis on internal family systems to support my clients while using a direct, hopeful, and grounded demeanor. My approach is client-centered which means that I believe that people have innate knowledge about how to heal themselves. My role is to help you uncover that wisdom and support you as you navigate any bumps in the road.
I understand that reaching out for help can sometimes feel hard or scary, so I applaud you for taking this huge step in seeking support. Thank you for being here and I hope to hear from you soon!
