My Approach to Helping
I am a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in depth-focused psychotherapy. My goal is to help you know yourself better, discover and work through the patterns or emotions that are causing you pain or keeping you stuck, and to move in a direction that increases meaning, agency, and authenticity.
As a psychiatrist I offer a holistic and relational approach and aim to understand your experience on a psychological, biological, and social level. I meet with individuals on a weekly basis for therapy, and sometimes more frequently if a further deepening of self-exploration is desired. If you are already on psychiatric medication, or if it seems it may be of benefit, we may integrate that into our work together.
In addition to general psychiatry, I have speciality training and expertise in women's mental health and perinatal psychiatry and feel privileged to work with individuals during this phase of life.
