My Approach to Helping
I offer an integrative approach to psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and young adults (18+). Meeting clients where they are with presence and empathy is essential for the client-centered approaches that I use. Body-centered psychotherapy including EMDR, Energy Psychology, or Lifespan Integration often make a difference for many of the concerns that the clients I see wish to focus on. I also offer cognitive behavioral therapy as well as a traditional narrative style of talk therapy as a way to find the most meaningful approach for each person seeking to create change and healing in their lives. I provide both short-term and long-term psychotherapy depending on the needs of clients at the time.
More Info About My Practice
Fees range from $145 to $225 depending on the amount of time we spend together and whether you are coming in as an individual or as part of a couple or family. I offer a free fifteen-minute initial phone consultation for clients who would like to find out more about how I work and let me know what their concerns are. Some out-of-network insurance may apply for the psychotherapy services that I offer. Please contact your insurance carrier regarding any specific details if you are interested in this option. I provide superbill invoicing for clients upon request and do not offer any direct billing.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I have a specialty working with clients who wish to heal from post-traumatic stress. Whether it is an acute situation from a recent event, or a long held challenge, I believe that it is possible to reclaim one's well-being and sense of self. I also have an interest in the Enneagram approach to mindfulness and self-inquiry. It can become a part of the dialogue for clients who find this to be helpful.
Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work
A combination of family of origin work and humanistic psychology are the foundation of much of the psychotherapy that I offer. Body-centered approaches are also an important resource for clients as they move through life's transitions and challenges. I have found somatic work to be particularly valuable for difficulties with anxiety and depression, post-traumatic stress, or grief and loss concerns.
